The bank also reassured the public that updates on the case would be disseminated through its official communication channels, stressing that the safety, dignity, and well-being of its employees and customers remain a top priority.

The controversy emerged after viral social media reports identified Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, a former Quality Assurance Specialist at Access Bank’s contact centre in Oniru, Lagos, as the suspect. Ejezie was allegedly caught in the female restroom around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, with hundreds of secret video clips of his colleagues reportedly discovered.

Although Access Bank has promptly terminated his employment, some affected staff members have raised concerns about their prospects for obtaining justice.

The bank expressed gratitude to its stakeholders and the public for their concern and support as investigations proceed.
