2027: PDP receives decampees from opposition parties in Isoko
The House of Representatives for the Isoko Federal Constituency, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, on Saturday, welcomed prominent leaders of opposition parties in Isoko who decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Among leaders of the opposition parties who formally decamped to the PDP are the former nember of the Delta State House of Assembly, Benjamin Efekodo, Omoro Othuke, Chief Julius Ogbor, Irri Alfred, Endurance Young, and Victor Ibiroko, among others.

Rep. Ukodhiko receiving the decampees expressed happiness with the defection of the frontline opposition leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the PDP.

“I wholeheartedly welcome you back to our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Isoko South Local Government Area.

“The people I am seeing here today, I have met them before now on the field. I know what they can do and, I also know who they are.

“Now, they have come, fully returned to the platform of the PDP in Isoko nation, it means, there is no more opposition parties in Isoko,” the federal lawmaker declared.

Rep. Ukodhiko charged the leaders, stakeholders and members of the party to work hard and harmoniously for the unity and progress of the PDP.

He added that “in Isoko generally, we all have one project. That project and the task is simply to return our performing Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori back by 2027.

“The project of returning the governor back by 2027 is very critical to us at the moment, hence we must go out from here to go and unite our people and turn out the votes en masse for our party, the PDP in Isoko.

“I want to charge you to go back to your various units and ward and, start mobilizing for our governor come 2027, for we know when it is good for our governor, is also good for all of us.” Reo. Ukodhiko further stated.
